Expanding Child Care in Shawnee County

Lack of affordable, quality child care prevents many parents from working. This is a big stress on families who need the income and it's a drain on the available workforce needed by employers.

MB Piland worked with Child Care Aware® of Eastern Kansas and GO Topeka to name, brand and promote an initiative to expand child care in Shawnee County, Kansas.  Our work included naming, branding, website, PR and communications for the initiative known now as Family Forward.

The goals of Family Forward are to create new child care slots in the county, allowing more families to return to the workforce. This builds the local economy for employers, parents and job seekers. View additional videos on our YouTube channel.
